This program gives shelter dogs something they rarely get enough of in a busy shelter: consistent training, enrichment, and one-on-one connection. Week by week, our dogs build skills, confidence, and trust that prepare them for life beyond the shelter and help them find their forever homes.

We've wrapped two Positive Enrichment Series in 2026!
In this program, young members of Boys & Girls Club Pasadena paired one-on-one with resident dogs at North Central Animal Shelter. They worked alongside some amazing adult mentors to practice valuable life skills, all while helping their dogs to gain skills, agility, and confidence that will help them thrive in their forever homes.

We're thrilled to announce we're partnering with The Academy Project for our fall Pawsitive Youth Development Series!
The Academy Project provides holistic care for foster youth and their families, focused on promoting independence, self-confidence, well-being, and growth. They collaborate with other organizations in the community to empower foster youth to thrive academically, emotionally, and creatively.
We're so excited for the opportunity to support their mission through meaningful relationships with shelter dogs!
