Rita is passionate about implementing programs that support underserved children and communities. For the past two decades, she has volunteered with various organizations serving children and at-risk families. Rita recently became a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in the Los Angeles County foster system, advocating for the child’s best interest and expressed wishes in the court process. Rita is also a longtime animal lover with previous experience assisting in animal rehabilitation, as well as being a self-taught dog trainer.¬†She loves to travel and take long walks with her Border Terrier Keedo, who is her constant walking companion.

Rita received her MBA from the University of Maryland. Her corporate career includes 16 years at Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment where she rose to Vice President Operations & Logistics NA. In addition to her work at Disney, Rita’s career includes the Mattel Corporation, Green Dot, and earlier in her career working in the retail clothing industry. She is also the founder of A Better Place For Everything, working as a professional organizer for individuals and businesses.
